Here is a list of my top 5 favorite body positive books that you should check out! Enjoy!
1. FAT!SO? By Marilyn Wann
Even though FAT!SO? is over a decade old, I still recommend it to anyone, of every size, especially women.
This sassy and educational book will make you cry, and laugh while reminding you that it's okay to embrace your size and love yourself at any weight! FAT!SO? also includes a lot of great tips on how to deal with the dreaded "body-shamers".
"Internationally recognized as a fat-positive spokesperson, Wann has learned that you can be absolutely happy, healthy, and successful...and fat. With its hilarious and insightful blend of essays, quizzes, facts, and reporting, FAT!SO? proves that you can be out-and-out fabulous at any size. "
2. Things No One Will Tell Fat Girls By Jes Baker
This is a book that I wish I had read years ago before I started my body acceptance journey.
Things No One Will Tell Fat Girls will help you realize that it's okay to start loving yourself as you are now, not just when you get down to a certain weight.
Jes Baker has a blog called The Militant Baker, that is well known in the body positive community for her unapologetic and informative approach to self love and acceptance. She also addresses the subject of mental health in the book which was appreciated and helpful!
"Among the many Things No One Will Tell Fat Girls that you don't want to miss:
1. It's Possible to Love Your Body (Today. Now.)
2. You Can Train You Brain to Play Nice
3. Your Weight Is Not a Reflection Of Your Worth
