Scentbird Review - Monthly Perfume Subscription

For as long as I can remember, I have loved perfume. I am often reminded of a story about when I was a little girl and discovered my mothers favorite bottle of perfume. In a short time I had managed to pour the entire bottle of Gloria Vanderbilt all over myself and carpet. As soon as my mother had started to smell her perfume coming from the next room she came to find me, all I had to say for myself was "Mommy I smell pretty!". It's a very fragrant perfume so needless to say, she didn't own another bottle of it for a long time!

I was very excited when I recently received the opportunity to review Scentbird.

If you are not familiar with Scentbird, it is a monthly perfume subscription that allows you to try authentic designer fragrances before committing to a full bottle for just $14.95/month with free shipping. At this time it is only available in the US, but they hope to be expanding soon.

You will receive a 30 day supply (8ml bottle) which equals to be 120 sprays, enough to apply 4 times a day for 30 days. It comes in a black velvet, drawstring bag and included with your first order, is a reusable case to keep your perfume safe. When you receive the next months vial, you just switch out the old one with the new and you're ready to go.

Scentbird has over 350 women's and men's fragrances for you to pick from. On their website you can search by mood, style, occasion and scent type.

If you're still not sure which to choose, you can also try their TruScent Recommender, where you take a quick quiz to help you pick what fragrances work best for you!

Once you decide what fragrances you would like to try you can add them to a queue of what you'd like to receive in the following months, if you don't choose by the cut off date (5th day of each month) they send you the scent of the month, Scentbird also offers a referral program that allows you to earn free perfumes!

My Experience :

After hearing many positive things about "Guilty" by GUCCI, I knew that was the one I wanted to try. "Guilty" is described as a fragrance that is "Made for a woman who shatters expectations" It has a floral-oriental scent with a burst of citrus and a hint of black pepper. It dries down to a rich, ambery base with notes of patchouli.

To me, this perfume is feminine and sexy at the same time. It is perfect for date night, but you could easily wear it everyday. A little goes a long way with this scent, my first time wearing it I used one spray and went out for date night to the movies, the scent was still aromatic by the time I came home. I can definitely see it lasting me longer than 30 days, which is a bonus!

The Verdict :

If you are a perfume lover, or even if you are new to wearing perfumes and want to "date" the fragrances before "marrying" them, then I 100 % recommend this monthly subscription. I guarantee that once shipping becomes available to Canada for subscriptions I will be signing up for my very own!

Our friends at Scentbird are generously offering new subscribers a coupon for 25% off your first fragrance order using the code : FYC25
